Remember how much I like the Wind Waker? No? THEN I'LL JUST HAVE TO REMIND YOU AHAHAHA
The Wind Waker is one of my favourite games of all time, which is weird, because prior to playing it (and after, honestly) I had barely touched the Zelda series. I found it incredibly atmospheric and filled with tons of subtle, dark themes - a combination that immersed me more than any game I have ever played. I struggled against the first boss and felt a terrified desperation for my digital life, and then grew into the hero that was able to confidently land the final blow on Ganondorf. It was such an amazing experience, and one I'd like to repeat, but I still haven't been able to get into another Zelda game the way this one captivated me. Perhaps I should try Ocarina again, but motion sickness ruins everything.
Anyway, I drew the fast sail from WWHD for compositional purposes (gotta get that bright red balanced y'all), but I honestly thought the sailing speed was fine as is. And I'm pretty sure the lighting's wrong with that sun where it is, but lens flares. C'mon.
(Again, this is all pencil crayon/coloured pencil. Professors in art school hate them because they look unprofessional. Yeah, okay. e_e; )
